About Us

Islamic Relief and Research Trust has completed 20 years of work, our main focus remains to contribute to the society by bringing peace, prosperity on the ground by rendering our services and addressing the issues of marginalized and underprivileged people of the state of Jammu & Kashmir. This only with the help of Donors individual and agencies that we can work for the needy to achieve our goals and goals objectives. Sustainable support from Donors and funding agencies and well-wishers is imperative. We tried for CSR funding also an extension of our left out work and we hope positive response now. Given the situation, we witnessed in the past years our women and children, in particular, have been vulnerable and our efforts continue for their rehabilitation and empowerment by utilizing our limited resources. Our responsibility is increasing day by day due to the increased number of widow’s is more than sixty thousand now, it is a challenging task. 

ZAKAT is the only sustainable support to our institutions but only a limited number of people are paying zakat regularly. According to an estimate few Muslims pay Zakat regularly in Kashmir so we are trying to regulate the system Zakat for its giving and receiving through our established ZAKAT centre which enables us to mobilize our resources and reach out to the needy people. We have been able to persuade orphans in need of having the sponsorship of 30 orphans. I extend my gratitude and sincere thanks to all these individual donors and donor agencies who generously supported our activities. Our NGO invites all the interested and like-minded people to join hands with us and co-operate with us for achieving the targets.

We look forward to social bonding, brotherhood, communal harmony, peace and prosperity within our society. All needy persons are equal before us irrespective of caste, creed, color, religion and region. We are committed to providing space to all those who want to contribute on humanitarian grounds for peace, prosperity, social justice and development. The city and state of registration are Chadoora and JAMMU & KASHMIR. Our Unique Id of VO/NGO is JK/2018/0183724. The date of registration is 22/04/2000. We are also registered under Order Of Registration U/S 12A, Read with Section 12AA of the I.T. Act, 1961 bearing Registration No.— CIT/J&K/2009-10/7484 dated 03/12/2009. Also Registered under section 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act 1961 bearing Registration No.— CIT(Exemp.)/Chd/80G/AAATI3847B/2016-17/2086 dated 30/06/2016. We are also registered under FCRA and our FCRA number is 152640002.
